Workers from Johnson Construction Company recently placed the canopy on the Oak Hill Amphitheater near city hall. Jim Lively Sr., who helped spearhead the amphitheater/green space project in 2010, welcomed the “really attractive” addition to the amphitheater. All told, approximately $257,000 has been spent on the project, with the majority of that coming from private donations. Lively hopes to see the commitment of another $25,000 to fund a first-class light and sound system, as well as a television screen.
