Courtesy photo/New River Humane Society Beth Powers is pictured with Lori, a husky mix who came to the Fayette County Animal Shelter in December. After her arrival the pup, who is less than one-year old, developed Demodectic mange. Powers has started a fundraising campaign to help provide medical care for shelter animals in need and Lori was one of its first beneficiaries.
