Paquita Sarver, left, longtime volunteer coordinator of the Fayette Toy Fund, was honored recently with a prestigious award by the Oak Hill Rotary Club. Sarver was named a Paul Harris Fellow for her service to others through her work with the Toy Fund. The Oak Hill club has taken over the coordination of the project following her retirement. Paul Harris Fellows are individuals who meet high professional and personal standards set for by Paul Harris, who founded the first Rotary Club in 1905. Sarver received her award from Rotary member Fred Jesser. For more on the club and its projects, see the upcoming progress edition, “Gaining the Summit,” produced by the staffs of The Fayette Tribune and The Montgomery Herald. The special publication will be printed in the March 28 edition of the Tribune.
