CMS musical revue slated for March 27
The Choral Department of Collins Middle School will present a musical revue at Oak Hill High School auditorium on Thursday, March 27 at 6 p.m. The admission is free and the show will feature many favorite scenes from beloved Disney musicals.
The concert will open with the combined choruses of sixth, seventh and eighth graders singing patriotic pieces. This will be followed by scenes from Disney musicals such as “Toy Story,” “Mulan,” “Aladdin,” “Lady and the Tramp,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “The Lion King,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Hunchback of Notre Dame,” “Pocahontas,” “The Jungle Book,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Mary Poppins,” “Cinderella,” “Pinocchio” and “High School Musical.” The Cheetah Girls and Hannah Montana from the Disney Channel shows will also be represented.
The CMS Chorus is under the direction of Danna J. Davis and has a combined membership of 104 students form sixth, seventh and eighth grades. The Select Chorus, which will travel to Nashville, Tenn., this spring to record a CD, is made up of 34 auditioned students.
The group also will perform for the annual Oak Hill Lions Club Style Show on April 4.
