Cooking up hilarity
Isobel Lomax, left, portrayed by Historic Fayette Theatre veteran Vicki Cook, and Dolly Biddle, right, HFT veteran Jan Neal, are separated on the set of “The Kitchen Witches,” a cable-access cooking show, by Steve Hambrick, portraying Stephen Biddle, the TV show’s beleaguered producer/director who is rapidly developing ulcers because of the enmity between the two. The cast of “The Kitchen Witches,” HFT’s current production, also includes DeWayne Annis as Rob, the camera guy, and is directed by Bob Neil. The show opened last weekend at the theatre in Fayetteville, and continues with shows on Oct. 10-11 and 17-18 at 8 p.m., as well as a 2 p.m. matinee on Oct. 19. Admission for all performances is $10 for adults and $7 for senior citizens over age 55 and children 12 and under. Group rates and season tickets are available. The Historic Fayette Theatre offers reserved seating. To reserve seats, call 304-574-4655 and leave a message. Phone reservations will be accepted no later than 5 p.m. on the day of the show (noon for matinees). Tickets must be picked up at the box office no later than 15 minutes prior to the performance. Tickets will also be available at the door and the doors open one hour before show time. If you have special needs, please give specifics at the time of your reservation.
