The 19th annual DuBois Reunion was held recently in Mount Hope and Beckley. The event is a community reunion which brings together alumni and others involved with DuBois High School, which served black youths in Fayette County until integration occurred in 1956. New to the festivities this year was 116 Main, a museum in downtown Mount Hope dedicated to telling the story of DuBois High School and sharing the area’s black history.
