Leadership application time

— Leadership Fayette County representatives recently visited all Fayette County High Schools handing out applications to current sophomores. The program, which will enter its 13th year next fall, focuses on developing public speaking skills, group skills, leadership tactics, introduces participants to opportunities in the local economy, lasts throughout a student’s junior year of high school, and provides $1,000 college stipends to its graduates. Here, members of the Leadership Fayette County class are pictured with Judge John W. Hatcher Jr. LFC applications must be submitted no later than May 9 and may be obtained by e-mailing the program chair Dave Pollard at, or by stopping by the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce.
