TJ Maxx presents check to Hospice of Southern WV

BECKLEY —  Managers and associates at TJ Maxx performed an in-house fundraiser to help raise money to support Hospice of Southern West Virginia (HSWV) and the Raleigh County Commission on Aging (RCCOA) as they hosted the 9th Annual Compassionate Caregivers Conference in March.

“We were amazed at the efforts of the managers and employees of TJ Maxx,” said Josh Jones, public relations director for Hospice of Southern West Virginia.

“They had ‘jeans days’, hosted a spaghetti dinner and other events just to raise money amongst themselves to help cover some of the costs of our annual Compassionate Caregivers Conference, which we and the RCCOA host and provide free to the public. Without their support we wouldn’t be able to do this for caregivers and the healthcare community in our area.

We are truly blessed to have such wonderful giving people in our community, and nobody proves that more than the managers and associates at TJ Maxx.”

Hospice of Southern West Virginia has been providing quality end-of-life care for more than 30 years in Raleigh, Fayette, Summers, and Wyoming counties. Since its inception, the organization’s mission has remained the same: to serve the needs of individuals living with a life-limiting illness and those caring for them, focusing on comfort and quality of life.
