Fall festival scheduled at Snowshoe Mountain Resort

GHENT — Snowshoe Mountain will host its first FreeFall Festival Sept. 27-29 and will feature a free concert by Rusted Root, a ski movie premiere, a mountain biking event, season pass deals and Brewfest.

Visitors can enjoy free live music in The Village Friday at 5 p.m., followed by a free ski movie premiere of TRG’s “Way of Life” at 7:30 p.m.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, FreeFall Follies, zipline target tosses, pumpkin carving, mountain bike games and tall bike jousting will be hosted.

A Microbrew Bonanza Brewfest will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Village. Each $20 ticket includes beer sampling and a collector’s cup.

After Brewfest, stick around to see a free concert by Rusted Root, the popular Pittsburgh band famous for their song “Send Me On My Way.”

Mountain Bike Mayhem will be held on Sunday, with registration from 8 to 10 a.m. and the event begins at 11:30 a.m.

Snowshoe invites everyone to come out and enjoy the festivities, as well as the fall foliage.
