From Staff Reports
“Fairytales of Christmas” is the theme of the 2013 Oak Hill Christmas parade, set this year for Thursday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m.
Since it is an evening parade, the organizers request that each entry has some type of lighting in order to be well seen. Santa Claus will be hosted by the city, so organizers request no additional Santa entries.
Parade line-up begins at 5 p.m. at High Lawn Memorial Park. Entrants will be lined up in the order in which they arrive at High Lawn.
The parade route runs from the memorial park west on Main Street, then on to Jones Avenue and Bibb Street into the City Park.
All applications are due by Dec. 9. An application will be printed in the Thursday edition of The Fayette Tribune, and are available for printing at the city website at cityofoakhill.homestead.com. Applications also may be obtained by calling City Hall at 304-469-9541 each weekday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon or 1 to 4 p.m., or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
