Agenda announced for Fayetteville Town Council’s July 2 meeting

The Fayetteville Town Council will meet on Tuesday, July 2 at 6 p.m. at town hall.

Old business on the agenda includes approving budget revisions for general fund No. 1 and No. 1 coal severance fund, second reading of ordinance 2013-2, article 1141 concerning dilapidated buildings, possible approval of $3,000 for CODA Music Academy, discussion and considering quotes for a gazebo for Janutolo Park, discuss and approve advertising of bids for a new roof for the old Fayetteville High School building, discussion and consideration of an increased funding request from MTA for $2,169, an update to council by the New River Festival Committee by Eric Pories, and discussion and approval of the purchase of an $800 computer router for the police department.

Council will also read minutes from the previous meeting, make any necessary changes to those minutes, review and approve the financial report, and hear from visitors.
