Beekeeping course offered


— New River Community and Technical College is bringing back its extremely popular beekeeping course this spring. Students will have the opportunity to learn more about beekeeping and the role of the productive honeybee as well as learn more about nature.

The course will be offered on Monday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 4 through April 15.

Taught by Fred Williams, the 10-week course will cover everything necessary to begin an exciting and rewarding hobby as a beekeeper. It will include hands-on experience as well as a field trip.  Tuition is $80.

This course is for beginners of all ages. It will be held at the WV Workforce Center on Northside Drive in Summersville.
