Spring blooms


— The bright yellow gracefulness of the forsythia, above, a member of the olive family, as it dances in the spring wind delights local residents following a harsh winter. Indoors, the floral art created by the region’s students is on display at the annual Youth Arts in the Parks exhibit at Tamarack. Below is Dandelion, 2014 Youth Arts in the Parks Wildflower Art Contest Best in Show, created on scratchboard by Noah Pack, a ninth grader from Midland Trail High School.
