Two men have been arrested for drug trafficking charges in Fayette County, according to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, who assisted the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force and troopers from the Oak Hill detachment of the State Police.
Andre Lamariam Riley, 50, of Detroit, Mich., and Scott Allen Cafego, 34, of Oak Hill, were arrested Tuesday following the execution of a search warrant into a room at the Quality Inn in Fayetteville, police confirm.
Each suspect was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and conspiracy to commit a felony after police discovered a variety of prescription pain medications in the room, Sheriff Steve Kessler explained.
Among the prescription medication were 70 40-milligram Opana — oxymorphone — pills and 29 15-milligram Roxycodone — oxycodone — pills with a street value of $7,350 and $435, respectively, he added.
Police also seized nearly $6,000 in cash.
Both men were remanded to Southern Regional Jail as the case continues to be investigated by FCSD and the Drug Task Force.
Riley is being held on $100,000 bond; Cafego’s bond had yet to be set as of late Tuesday afternoon.
