Day-long concert to benefit county veterans memorial


— The Lafayette Huse Veterans Memorial committee of Fayetteville is sponsoring a musical benefit from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, in the auditorium at Fayetteville High School. All funds raised from the concert will go toward construction of the Lafayette Huse Veterans Memorial, a memorial honoring all Fayette County armed forces veterans to be constructed at Huse Memorial Park in Fayetteville.

Admission price to the Let Freedom Ring Benefit is $10. The price of admission will allow all-day entertainment for the following performances (in order beginning at 11 a.m. and ending at 9 p.m.): Heart Cry, Rob Legg — The Singing Deputy, The Paynes, The Songcatchers featuring vocalist Ashley Lilly, Jon Kemper and Friends, The Duffy Boyd Band, The Colton Pack Band, Billy Payne and Southland Blues Band.

The admission ticket enables the ticket holder to be eligible for door prize drawings between each performance. Food, snacks and drinks prepared and sold by the Fayetteville Woman’s Club will be available.

Advance tickets may be purchased at the Fayetteville Town Hall (304-574-0101). Tickets will be available at the door.
