Volunteers with the local chapter, which serves residents of both Fayette and Nicholas counties, say they are stretched thin.
On Friday, Cathy Broughman stressed the need for volunteers.
“People call and want to know, ‘Where is the Red Cross?’” she said. “The Red Cross is here, but only if you’re willing to be a part.” Broughman stressed.
“There’s only so many of us.”
Volunteers always are welcome at the Fayette-Nicholas Chapter, not strictly during emergencies. To learn about volunteer opportunities, please call 304-469-4636.
