A 23-year-old man is charged with murder after a fatal shooting at the corner of Mahan Street and Highlawn Avenue in Oak Hill Thursday around 3:30 p.m., according to Oak Hill Police.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a victim who had suffered a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Plateau Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
Police have yet to release the victim’s name.
Terreque Alj Gray, 23, of Oak Hill, has been charged with murder and is being held at Southern Regional Jail pending arraignment with a circuit court judge.
The Oak Hill Police Department, West Virginia State Police and Fayette County Sheriff’s Department are handling the investigation.
