Meetings

Oak Hill Structural Inspection Board — The City of Oak Hill’s Structural Inspection Board will meet Feb. 5 at 6 p.m. at city council chambers. Agenda will be as follows: unfinished business — John M. Zink Jr. property located on the NW corner of School Street and Central Avenue (the building is situated on Lots #17 and #18 in map book 2, at page 140); and new business — Prunesti property located at 235 Central Avenue; Horrocks property located in the backyard of 113 Woods Avenue; Law property located at 216 Chestnut Avenue; and OAC Investment property (apartments) located on Lewis Street.

SCD — The Southern Conservation District will hold a monthly board meeting on Feb. 14 at the SCD Building, 463 Ragland Road, Beckley, at 9:45 a.m. Normal business will be conducted. The agenda will be posted at the SCD office. For more information, please call 304-253-0261.

Fayette County Commission — The Fayette County Commission will meet Wednesday, Feb. 6 (Board of Equalization and Review, mineral, at 9 a.m. and industrial at 9:30 a.m.), in the Fayette County Commission chambers of the Fayette County Courthouse. The meetings are open to the public.

Board of Education — The Fayette County Board of Education will meet as follows: regular meeting — Monday, Feb. 4, BOE office, 6 p.m.; regular meeting — Monday, Feb. 18, BOE office, 6 p.m.; special meeting (personnel if needed) personnel RIF/transfer hearings — Thursday, Feb. 21, BOE office, 6 p.m.; and special meeting (Local School Improvement Council, Midland Trail area schools) — Monday, Feb. 25, Midland Trail High School, 6 p.m.

Oak Hill Lions Club — The Oak Hill Lions Club meets each Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Scout Cabin, City Park, Oak Hill. For more information, call 304-574-2836.

Oak Hill Rotary — The Oak Hill Rotary Club meets every Tuesday at noon at the LifeBridge Fellowship Hall in East End Oak Hill. Call 304-640-1497 for more information. The first Tuesday of each month is Business Meeting day, and each following Tuesday has a member program scheduled, with guests invited to visit.
