Locals included on dean’s list

ELKINS — Davis & Elkins College has released its dean’s list for the fall semester.

Locally, Rebecca and Samuel Casto of Fayetteville earned inclusion among the honorees.

Rebecca Casto is an environmental science major, and Samuel Casto is a computer science major.

They are the children of Agnes and Kim Casto of Fayetteville.

Students on the list must have achieved a 3.6 GPA on a scale of 4.0 while taking a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Tamarack jury session set for Aug. 29
Tamarack will hold a jury session Aug. 29 with opportunities for products in these categories: dried flowers/wheat weaving; pottery; knitted items; adult apparel (dresses, shirts, jackets, tops, vests, etc.); decorative painting on wood and/or metal; leather purses; jewelry (original, unique designs with handmade components); candles (carved, seasonal, soy); stained glass; hand-blown glass; framed and or matted calligraphy; handmade toys and colorful metal sculptures.
