If a child is a member of a food stamp household or an AFDC assistance unit, the child is automatically eligible to receive free program meal benefits, subject to completion of the free/reduced application form.
Eligibility for free and reduced price meal reimbursement is based on the following income scales for annual family income before deductions: one (household size), $20,147 (yearly), $1,679 (monthly); two, $27,214, $2,268; three, $34,281, $2,857; four, $41,348, $3,446; five, $48,415, $4,035; six, $55,482, $4,624; seven, $62,549, $5,213; and eight, $69,616, $5,802. For each additional individual in household, add $7,067 to the annual total, and $589 to the monthly total.
