Applications accepted for annual awards

The Fayette County Chamber of Commerce is looking for nominations for the 2013 Fayette County Man, Woman and Business of the Year awards.

Nominees for each category should be members of the Fayette County community who have provided hard work, vision and leadership to our area by volunteering their time and energy.

You must include two to three paragraphs explaining your reasons why this individual or business stands above the others for this recognition.

Recipients will be chosen by the entire membership of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, and the awards will be presented at the Chamber of Commerce Annual Picnic on Sept. 19, at 5:30 p.m. at the Holiday Lodge, Oak Hill. Cost is $35 and free for children.

Nominations and the reasons you are nominating this person or business should be sent to the Fayette County Chamber office, 310 Oyler Avenue, Oak Hill, WV 25901; faxed to 304-465-5618; or e-mailed to sharon@fayettecounty.com. Nominations must be received on or before July 30.

Only complete nominations will be accepted.

To nominate an individual or business, list your name and phone number; the name, address and phone number of the person you are nominating; and a complete explanation of at least 2-3 paragraphs of why the person or business is being nominated and send it to the Chamber of Commerce by one of the methods listed above.
