Tips for family fitness

Advice for physical fitness comes to us from all sides. Here’s a few tips on how to improve your family fitness:

Pick a night of the week when the television is not turned on.

Surprise your teenager by washing his car and filling up his gas tank.

Go to the library as a family.

Take a walk as a family.

Take each of your children out to breakfast individually.

Make sure your family car is safe (tires, brakes, etc.) and get it tuned up.

Work as a family to put together a jigsaw puzzle.

Sit down and write your parents a letter thanking them for something they did for you.

Do some stargazing with your family. Help your children identify constellations.

Schedule yourself a free day to stay home with your family.

Get involved in a family project that helps someone less fortunate.

Spend an evening as a family going through and identifying old family pictures.

Have your parents tell your children about life when they were young.

Call an old friend from your past, just to see how he or she is getting along.
