BEARDS FORK —
In response to a plea for help from Rev. Jeff Allen, director of the West Virginia Council of Churches, the Southern Appalachian Labor School (SALS) is collecting items to be delivered to those in need in the nine-county area of West Virginia affected by the Jan. 10 chemical spill in the Elk River.
Items being collected are ready- made baby formula, diapers, nonperishable food, and distilled water.
