The old saw claims “Everyone complains about the weather, but no one does anything about it.” Residents along Loops Road in Danese were thrilled when crews did something about the weather’s “leftovers” from the last round of snow last week and they were able to get out and about over the weekend. “I want to praise the DOH in Fayette County,” said Virgil Berry. “It might take them time to get some of the side roads but they do the other roads so well that it’s understandable. They have done a superb job.” Berry, who was driving the Loops Road “Tunnel” on his way to Rainelle while his wife, Roseann, was snapping pictures, said the snow was packed about 6-1/2 to 7 feet in height. “I have seen it higher,” he said. “And I didn’t know it until later, but there was a Blazer under there.” Forecasts this weekend call for warmer temperatures and sunshine.
