GES ‘can’ make a change

— The students at Gatewood Elementary understand it is the season for giving. The students were given the challenge of bringing their change to school to purchase hoodies for victims of Hurricane Sandy. In four days, these students raised $516 and purchased 50 hoodies to send to the relief efforts.

They also participated in a can drive and collected cans of food to give to the Fayette County Toy Fund and Food Drive.

The teachers, staff and principal are very proud of the students at Gatewood Elementary School for their efforts in helping others.
