Oak Hill man dead after motorcycle accident

— An Oak Hill man died after losing control of his motorcycle  just after 8 p.m. Friday in Bradley, confirmed Deputy R.D. Utt with the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department.

Utt said James Aaron Pridemore, 40, of Oak Hill, lost control of his 2007 Honda while trying to negotiate a left turn in the 550 block of North Sandbranch Road in Bradley.

Pridemore “laid down his bike” on its left side, struck a guardrail and died at the scene, Utt said.

Police say speed was a contributing factor in the accident.

Jan-Care Ambulance and Bradley-Prosperity Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.

The accident is still under investigation by the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department.
