Scarbro woman charged with armed robbery

— Less than 24 hours passed before officers with the Oak Hill Police Department made an arrest in connection to Sunday’s armed robbery of the Quick Check convenience store on Jones Avenue in Oak Hill.

Officers arrested Jennifer Dawn Suttle, 27, of Scarbro, as the alleged perpetrator of the crime just after 6 p.m. Monday evening

Suttle was charged with one felony count of armed robbery, but further charges are pending. Information regarding her bond was not yet available at the time of print.

After capturing a photo from the store’s surveillance footage and distributing it to local news outlets, several tips were directed to the police department that assisted in the Suttle’s apprehension, explained Oak Hill Police Chief Michael Whisman.

“A lot of tips came in, and we knew where to start from the beginning,” Whisman said.

More information on the case will be released at it becomes available.
