Beckley Area CEOS meet at Tamarack

The Beckley Area CEOS met in Tamarack on April 2. Area Representative Lois Anderson conducted the meeting.

Shirley Phillips led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Shirley McGraw gave the devotion using a composite of scriptures. She also led the group in prayer.

Secretary Sandra Privett and Treasurer Pam Godbey presented their regular reports.

Shirley Phillips, a member of the By-laws Committee, reported on her committee’s review of the area’s by-laws. The changes will be voted upon at the area meeting to be held in Greenbrier County on April 29.

Kay Davis, WVU Extension agent for Greenbrier County, gave a talk on the plans for the area meeting to be held in the state fairgrounds at Fairlea.

Area Representative Anderson led a discussion on the international student the group will be hosting next year. Anderson appointed a committee to make plans for the student’s visit. Members are Shirley Phillips, Peggy Gwinn, and Lynn Green.

Attending the meeting from Wyoming County were Shirley Phillips, Barbara Blankenship, Charlene Cooke, Lynn Green, and Sandra Privett. Attending from Fayette County were Lois Anderson, Shirley McGraw, and Peggy Gwinn. Pam Godbey represented Mercer County, and Kay Davis, WVU Extension agent, represented Greenbrier County.
