The Historic Fayetteville Convention and Visitors Bureau (FCVB) recently opened a retail section in the North Court Street office. Items available for purchase include the brand new Fayetteville logo T-shirts, note cards, and magnets. Dale Payne books, the Taste of Fayetteville Cookbook, Lost Cannon music CDs, New River Gorge Christmas ornaments, Four Seasons in Fayetteville photo note cards, Fayetteville heritage posters, New River Gorge area post cards, and Bridge Day Chili Cook-off gear are also for sale. The community is invited to stop by the office any Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Fridays 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays 7 a.m. to 12 noon.

Tamarack will hold a jury session Aug. 29 with opportunities for products in these categories: dried flowers/wheat weaving; pottery; knitted items; adult apparel (dresses, shirts, jackets, tops, vests, etc.); decorative painting on wood and/or metal; leather purses; jewelry (original, unique designs with handmade components); candles (carved, seasonal, soy); stained glass; hand-blown glass; framed and or matted calligraphy; handmade toys and colorful metal sculptures.
