Archway of honor

— Fire department personnel from around Fayette County, including ladder trucks from Montgomery, left, and Oak Hill, gathered together Sunday to say farewell to one of their own, as Gauley River Volunteer Fire Department Capt. David L. Long was laid to rest at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow. Long, of Belva, was a 37-year member of the GRVFD, a former volunteer at Valley Ambulance, and a former football trainer at Gauley Bridge High School.
