Fayette County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an incident of grand larceny that happened sometime between midnight Jan. 3 and 1 p.m. Jan. 4.
A piece of equipment, a Caterpillar Skid Steer (serial number CED00403), was stolen from the job site of the new Family Dollar store on U.S. Route 20 in Meadow Bridge.
The equipment is valued at approximately $50,000. The owner, Taylor Enterprises, is offering a $500 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest and/or the return of their stolen machine.
The incident is still under investigation by Deputy W.R. Callison of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with more information is asked to call 304-574-4305, CrimeStoppers at 304-255-7867, or submit a tip online at www.fayettesheriffwv.net.
