BLUEFIELD, Va. — A Fayette County man was arrested Saturday in Bluefield, Va., after police said he robbed a gas station with BB guns.

Bluefield Virginia Police Chief H.L. Cundiff reported that William Walker, 35, of Spring Dale, went into the Hometown Shell station in Bluefield, just across the West Virginia/Virginia boarder, brandished what appeared to be two guns and demanded money, then fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Cundiff said police located Walker within an hour in the Sam’s Club parking lot about a mile away.

After his arrest, police learned that Walker had used BB guns and the vehicle he was driving was reported stolen in Greenbrier County.

Walker has been charged with armed robbery, grand larceny and possession of a stolen vehicle and is being held in Southern Regional Jail.
