OAK HILL —
An Oak Hill man was charged with murder after police responded to a trespassing complaint Monday.
Oak Hill Police responded to the call on East Main Street where they found Michael Sheets, 46, of Scarbro, lying unresponsive in an apartment, according to a press release.
Sheets was transported to Plateau Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
According to police, Jeffrey Dale Lafferty, 39, and a resident of the East Main Street apartment, was arrested for murder.
Lafferty is lodged in Southern Regional Jail and the victim’s body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
