Kistlers earn academic honors

MERCERSBURG, Pa. — Two local students recently were named to the honor roll at Mercersburg Academy.

Kate Kistler of Lansing, a sophomore, was named a distinguished scholar (all grades of 90 or above) during the fall term at Mercersburg, and Philip Kistler of Lansing, a junior, was named a commended scholar (all grades of 85 or above) during the fall term.

Mercersburg Academy is a co-educational, independent college preparatory boarding and day school in south-central Pennsylvania, with students enrolled in grades nine through 12 and a post-graduate year.

It has prepared students for college and life beyond since 1893. This year, there are approximately 430 students enrolled from 29 states, the District of Columbia, and 37 nations.
