Due to Superstorm Sandy, West Virginia citizens with vehicle registrations and driver’s licenses that expired during the storm will be extended.
DMV Commissioner Joe Miller said the extension, effective Nov. 1, covers customers who had vehicle registrations scheduled to expire on Oct. 31. The expiration date is now extended to Nov. 15.
The expiration date for driver’s licenses and identification cards scheduled to expire between Oct. 29 and Nov. 15 has been extended until Nov. 15. This extension includes waiver of any late fee penalties as well as the six-month retesting requirements.
