Sherwin-Williams christens Oak Hill location

OAK HILL — A new Sherwin-Williams Paint Stores establishment opened its doors to the public on Tuesday.

“We’re very excited to be in the community,” said Jordan Smith, store manager. “We felt like we wanted to invest in this community.”

District manager Bill Baur added that the company, which has its closest nearby store in Beckley, sought to strengthen its local commitment.

“We want to invest in the Rte. 19 corridor,” he said.

The store, which will start out with three employees, is located in the former Blockbuster Video building at 605 Fayette Square.

Sherwin-Williams, which was founded in 1866 by Henry Sherwin and Edward Williams, offers a wide range of  interior and exterior paints and coatings and applicators. “We have anything you need for a painting project,” Smith said.

Hours are Mondays to Fridays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
