The Fantastic 4Hers partner with American Red Cross

A new 4-H club — the Fantastic 4-Hers — is making contributions in town.

“This is a new 4-H club that meets at the White Oak Country Club in Oak Hill the second Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m.,” says Dr. Mindy Osborne, 4-H director of The Fantastic 4-Hers of Oak Hill. “We recently collected disaster relief items for comfit kits that the American Red Cross Fayette-Nicholas Chapter will distribute to those in need.

“4-H is a great program that promotes leadership, responsibility and citizenship. Anyone interested in joining the Fantastic 4-Hers please contact Dr. Osborne of Oak Hill Animal Hospital at 304-640-1491 or come to our next meeting on May 13.”

“An exciting upcoming event is the Fayette County 4-H Dog Show that will be held in the Tractor Supply Company of Oak Hill on May 11 at 2 p.m.,” she continued. “Registration is at 1 p.m.

“It will be a fun filled family event with the proceeds going to Fayette County 4-H Camp.”

“The American Red Cross is very thankful for this donation and so proud to be a partner with The Fantastic 4-Hers,” said Roseann Berry, executive director, American Red Cross Fayette-Nicholas Greenbrier Valley. “Their generous support helps us continue in our mission to assist those in our community.

“They truly make a difference and make it possible for the Red Cross to exist and to make the community a great place to live.”
