Lynn B. Pollard, center, of Hamilton, Burgess, Young and Pollard, pllc, recently presented a $1,000 check on behalf of her law firm to Gene Worthington, left, artistic director of the Historic Fayette Theatre and chairman of the organization’s fund drive, and Sandra Shrewsbury, right, to support efforts to raise funds to purchase the theatre building. Anyone interested in helping keep community theatre in Fayetteville may may tax-deductible contributions to: HFT Building Fund, PO Box 448, Fayetteville, WV 25840. Also, a campaign is under way to designate seats — by way of a small engraved plaque — in the Fayetteville landmark for a donation of $100 to the HFT Building Fund, 100 percent of which will be set aside toward raising the $100,000 needed to purchase the theatre.
