CNA course begins Jan. 16 in Summersville


SUMMERSVILLE — The New River Community and Technical College Office of Workforce Education will offer a comprehensive six-week CNA training course at the Workforce WV Building in Summersville, beginning  Wednesday, Jan. 16. Classes will be held Wednesday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

The health care industry is one of the fastest growing and most stable industries and is projected to have continued job growth, and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) are a vital part of the industry. Nursing assistants make many people’s lives more comfortable.

The curriculum includes classroom training, skills labs and clinical training. This course will prepare students to take the required state examination. Space in the training is very limited. Financial assistance is available through various programs and agencies for those who qualify.
