Members of the committee conducting fundraising efforts for the Lafayette Huse Veterans Memorial, a project to be constructed in the county seat honoring all veterans with ties to Fayette County display an artist’s rendering of the completed memorial, and a quilt recently auctioned to raise money for the construction. The quilt was handmade and donated to the committee by Tina White of Mount Hope.
The winner of the quilt was Lita Eskew of Fayetteville, at right in photo at right, who was presented her prize by Sonya Wood. The committee thus far has raised over $18,000 through various donations and fundraisers. The quilt fundraiser raised a total of $859.70. A donation of $100 will buy a name brick for your veteran. Donations are appreciated.
