Enjoy the Christmas magic in Fayetteville

You will experience Christmas magic in downtown Historic Fayetteville with a variety of holiday events.

A Holiday Art Open House will be held at Musical Grounds European Coffeehouse on Friday, Dec. 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. That evening’s holiday cheer continues with the Christmas Magic Parade beginning at 5 p.m. There will be lots of lights, decorated units, and marching bands.

Following the parade, everyone is invited to the Community Christmas Tree Lighting on the

Fayette County Courthouse lawn. From there, you can warm up with a free chili dinner at the Fayetteville United Methodist Church. Everyone is welcome to enjoy white bean chicken chili, cornbread, and other homemade goodies.

Beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, you can delight in Breakfast with Santa at the Cathedral Café. The shops and restaurants will all be decorated and open all day for your shopping and dining pleasure.

Stop by the Memorial Building for the Christmas Craft Show with over 30 vendors from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Santa will be there from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Non-perishable food will be accepted for donation to the local food pantry. Also, the Holiday Art Open House continues from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

You will not want to miss the presentation of “Miracle on 34th Street” at the Historic Fayette Theater on Nov. 29-30, and Dec. 1, 6-8. Show time on Friday and Saturday is 8 p.m. with 2 p.m. matinees on Sunday afternoon. Contact the Historic Fayette Theater at 304-574-4655 for ticket information.
