The sounds of the season

— As a prelude to the Oak Hill Christmas parade on Thursday, Dec. 6, the Collins Middle School Select Chorus, under the direction of Danna Davis, will perform Christmas favorites at the city amphitheater. They will perform selections from “The Polar Express,” “Glee” and other favorite songs. Also performing will be five members of Collins Middle 6th Grade Chorus. The CMS Select Chorus is made up of 7th and 8th graders who have auditioned to sing in the group, which has performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Country Tonite Show in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and has made recordings in Studio B in Nashville, Tenn. They also do performances in and around the community in churches and community organizations, such as the Fayette Study Club and the Oak Hill Lions Club.
