    The American Heart Association is proud to announce that Fayette County schools helped bring in over $10,000 towards the fight against our #1 killer: Heart disease. Fourteen out of the 18 schools in the district completed a Jump Rope For Heart event with their students in an effort to raise life-saving funds for the American Heart Association.

    The ribbon was cut and the stage was christened Thursday evening as ACE Adventure Resort officially unveiled its new 12,500-capacity festival ground on the resort’s Mountaintop West Campground near Oak Hill at an event that also served as the Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce’s monthly Business after Hours.

    In celebration of the 35th anniversary of Bridge Day, event organizers have teamed up with the West Virginia Division of Tourism to sponsor a photo contest that will offer participants a chance to share pictures of their time spent in West Virginia with friends, family, pets or on solo getaways.
