Keith Edward Davis
Keith Edward Davis, 50, of Monroe, Va., died May 17, 2012, at his residence.
Born April 15, 1962, in Quantico, he was the son of Lydia Wriston Davis and the late Vaden Keith Davis. n addition to his father, Keith was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lacy and Lois Wriston; paternal grandparents, Vaden and Bonnie Davis; and his uncle, Roger Davis.
Keith was an appraiser trainee for Davis Appraisals and a member of Corner Stone Baptist Church in Monroe.
Keith was also a charter member of Nelson Grays 2123, Sons of the Confederate Veterans and now Stonewall Brigade Camp 2196, Lexington, Va.
Surviving, in addition to his mother: his aunt, Margie Davis of Oak Hill; cousins, Amanda Davis and her companion, Earl Mullins, of Dothan, Joseph and Melonie Davis of Kenly, N.C., Danielle, Maci and Paisley, all of Kenly, and Jacob Hanson of Oak Hill; his wife, Cindy Davis of Richmond; his step-daughters, Christa T. Cullinane and family and Ashley T. Lawrie and family; his faithful pet-companion, Gretchen; special friends, Pat Potter of Fredericksburg and Steve and Pam Foster of Gloucester; and his church family.
A funeral service was conducted May 20 at Corner Stone Baptist Church in Madison Heights with the Rev. Peyton Fitzgerald officiating. Interment followed at Corner Stone Baptist Church Cemetery.

Carol Sue Hall
Carol Sue Hall, 67, of Fayetteville, died June 8, 2012.
Born Sept. 28, 1944, in Oak Hill, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Myrtle May Gibson Young. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Garfield Hall, in 1996.
Ms. Hall was a mother, grandmother and a great-grandmother. She was a homemaker and a former self-employed housekeeper.
Surviving: her daughter, Linda and her husband, Thurmond Humphrey, of Fayetteville; grandsons, James Rice, Thurmond Humphrey II and Christopher Humphrey, all of Fayetteville; great-grandchildren, Casey James Rice, Courtney Marie Rice, both of Fayetteville, and Ava Roselyn Miller of Oak Hill; brothers, Bobby Clendenin of Fayetteville and Roy Clendenin of Pennsylvania; and Kim Miller and Joyce Hooper.
Funeral services were June 12 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Burial followed at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, with Pastor Larry Humphrey officiating.
