Paul Daniel Caldwell

Paul Daniel Caldwell, 74, of Fayetteville, died April 28, 2012, at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley after a long illness, surrounded by his family.

Born Oct. 25, 1937, in Winifrede, he was the son of the late George Madison Caldwell and the late Mable Browning Caldwell. He also was preceded in death by a son, Thompson Paul (Tommy) Caldwell of Orlando, Fla.; an infant brother, James Ralph Caldwell; and his first wife, Galena Huffman.

Paul was a cross country truck driver and retired after 30 years. He formerly served as street commissioner of Marmet.

Surviving: his loving wife of 25 years, Wanda Jane Fagg Caldwell of Fayetteville; daughter, Tammy Lynn Caldwell Maynor and husband Donnie of Belle; son, Royce Lee Caldwell of Charleston; grandchildren, Aaron Maynor of Charleston, April Beth Caldwell Watts of Hurricane, Adam Caldwell and wife Stacey of Orlando, Fla., and Casey Maynor of Belle; great-grandchildren, twins Kaleb and Kaiden Maynor of Hurricane, and Lonnie Elizabeth Caldwell of Orlando, Fla.; stepdaughters, Jennifer Gilkerson Bugg and husband Jonathan of Gallipolis Ferry, and Brandy Gilkerson Bartoli; step-grandchildren, Nate and Mickaylah Bartoli of Fayetteville; brother, David Caldwell and wife Evelyn of Nellis; sister, Fern Caldwell Adkins of Chesapeake; a special cousin, Argatha (Sissy) Scarlato of Teays Valley; daughter-in-law, Debbie Caldwell of Orlando, Fla.; sister-in-law, Janet Gilkerson and husband Eddie of Gatewood; and lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral service was May 2 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Rev. Jack Long officiating. Burial followed at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville.

Rozella Carol Foster Fitzwater

Rozella Carol Foster Fitzwater, 68, of Oak Hill, died April 25, 2012, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born March 29, 1944, at Wriston, she was the daughter of the late Orval and Demple Alice Bowe Foster. A brother, Kenneth Paul Foster, and sisters, Shelba Jean Taylor and Katie Mae Kincaid, also preceded her in death.

She was office manager for Coal and Quarry Miner’s Exchange of Oak Hill.

Surviving: her husband, Bill Fitzwater; son, Todd Andrew Fitzwater of Oak Hill; brothers, Stanley O. Foster of Oak Hill and Jack L. Foster of Bluewell; sisters, Linda L. Campbell of Oak Hill, Joanna Helen Smith of Dunbar, Sandra Kay Sharp of Cleveland, Tenn., and Ruth Ellen Busby of Rock Hill, S.C.; and a granddaughter, Amanda Raven Lambert of Fayetteville.

Funeral services were April 28 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Ralph Shupe officiating. Burial was at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.
