George Lee ‘Bitsy’ Hogan
George Lee “Bitsy” Hogan, 60, of Fayetteville, died at home.
Born on June 13, 1952, at Fayetteville, he was the son of the late Albert Paget Hogan and Mary Lee Pennington Hogan.
Bitsy graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1970 and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving: his brothers, Albert Michael “Mike” Hogan and wife Jane and James “Jim” Hogan and wife Diana, all of Fayetteville; sister, Margaret “Margie” Henderson of Pasadena, Md.; and nieces and nephews, Cindy Godwin, Jennifer DeQuasie, Susan Boblitz, Jimmy Hogan and Jonathan Hogan.
Graveside services were Oct. 29 at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville, with Monty Price officiating.

James Phillip Lafferty
James Phillip Lafferty, 62, of Stanaford, died Oct. 25, 2012, at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley.
Born May 9, 1950, in Martin, Ky., he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Opal Isaac Lafferty.
James was a master electrician, having worked for Statewide Electric.
Surviving: his wife, Susan Donell Lafferty of Stanaford; son, Aaron Lafferty of Charleston; daughter, Amber Lynn Ayers and husband Richard of Fredericksburg, Md.; stepdaughters, Sheree Hunt of Mt. Hope, Renise McCraw of Elkton, Md., and Nicole Murray of Middletown, Del.; his sister, Anna Lafferty of Pikeville, Ky.; and one grandchild.
Funeral services were Oct. 29 at the Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope, with the Rev. Jerry Tyree officiating. Burial followed in Pax Community Cemetery at Pax.

Millard Thomas Law, 80, of Oak Hill, died Oct. 20, 2012.
