Charles C. Argabright
Charles C. Argabright, 90, of Summersville, died March 14, 2012, at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston.
Born Sept. 6, 1921, at Hilltop, he was the son of the late Daniel V. and Eliza Jane Creger Argabright. He also was preceded in death by brothers, Ulysses A., Leslie, Lonnie, Daniel, Dace and William Argabright; and sisters, Lillie Kessler, Allie Ramsey, Mary Ferre, and Pansy Shumake.
He was a retired U.S. Army veteran.
Charles was a former store operator in Muddlety and a member of VFW Post 1606 Bell Post and the Red Star Baptist Church.
Surviving: daughters, Traci Lynn Buckner of Cross Lanes, and Sharon McDermott, Charlene “Charley” Crowder; son, Glen Argabright; brother, Golden Argabright of Akron, Ohio; grandchildren, Christopher Buckner, Tammy Hagan and Terri Kitto; great-grandsons, Seth, Zachary, Joseph and Jonathan; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were March 17 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill. Burial was at Hilltop Cemetery, Hilltop.

Elizabeth Ann Burgess
Elizabeth Ann Burgess, 57, of Fayetteville, died March 17, 2012, at Plateau Medical Center.
Born Aug. 12, 1954, at Gauley Bridge, she was the daughter of Mary Jo Nugent Green and the late Dennis Green. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Liza Green.
Betty attended Beckley College and graduated from WV Tech with a B.A. degree. For more than 25 years, Betty was a self-employed Avon representative.
Surviving: her loving husband, Albert Roy Burgess; her mother, Mary Jo Nugent Green of Fayetteville; sisters, Linda Boley of Fayetteville, Mary Sue Acres of Oak Hill, Sally Struck of Fayetteville, Margie McKinney of Oak Hill, and Wanda Woodruff; brother, William “Billy” Green of Oak Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was March 21 at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Joe Cuthbertson officiating. Burial followed in the Nugent Family Cemetery, Laurel Creek.
