Gary Dean Thomas

Gary Dean Thomas, 60, of Gauley Bridge, died peacefully in his sleep at home, surrounded by family, on May 27, 2013.

Born Sept. 20, 1952, in Ansted, he was the son of the late David Thomas and Velma Dean Peters Thomas.

He was a sheet metal worker, a member of Local No. 33 Sheet Metal Worker’s Union, and most importantly a Christian, and a member of the Gauley Bridge United Methodist Church.

Gary loved working in his garage on his ’68 Camaro and going to car shows. Gary never met a stranger so everyone became friends.

Surviving: his wife, Sandra Thomas of Gauley Bridge; daughter, Stephanie Harvey and her husband, Brian, of Gauley Bridge; son and best buddy, Jason Dean Thomas of Charlton Heights; his granddaughter and his pride and joy, Lauren Faith Harvey, of Gauley Bridge; brothers, David Thomas Jr. of Maryland, Dennis Thomas and his wife, Judy, of Fayetteville, and James (Red) Thomas and his wife, Melissa, of Ansted; father- and mother-in-law, Roscoe and Wilsie Sizemore of Gauley Bridge; brothers-in-law, Terry Sizemore and his wife, Frances, of Fayetteville, and Teddy Sizemore and his wife, Mary, of North Carolina; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be noon, Friday, May 31, at the Gauley Bridge United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Skaggs officiating, assisted by Rev. David Bounds. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens, Victor.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge.

Glen Kelso Wriston

Glen Kelso Wriston, 83, of Scarbro, died May 27, 2013.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at High Lawn Funeral Home, Oak Hill, where the funeral will be held 11 a.m. on Friday with Pastor Howard Calvert officiating.
