Thelma Mae Pozzie Vance
Thelma Mae Pozzie Vance, 87, of Oak Hill, died Jan. 26, 2013, at CMC Memorial.
Thelma was born June 30, 1925, at Longacre. She was preceded in death by her parents, five of six siblings, and her husband, William Vance.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Oak Hill Apostolic Holiness Church for 40 years.
Surviving: her children, Mary Jane Wood of Belle, Paul Pozzie and his wife, Suzanne, of Charleston, David Lee Pozzie and his wife, Reyna, of Costa, Anna K. Pozzie of Culloden, Stephen L. Pozzie and his wife, Carolyn, of Oak Hill, Melissa Hubert and her husband, Chris, of Lake Station, Ind., and Michael Prather; sister, Mary L. Sparkman of Crown Hill; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Feb. 1 at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, with Pastor Carlos Lewis and Rev. Harry Fuller officiating. Entombment followed in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.

Douglas Edward Wriston
Douglas Edward Wriston, 72, of South Salem, Ohio, died Jan. 30, 2013, at his home.
Born May 16, 1940, at Kingston, he was the son of the late Clarence Edward and Mary Ushley Stover Wriston. A sister, Della Irene Coleman, and a brother, Conard Raymond Wriston, also preceded him in death.
He was a retired tank framer for Kenworth Truck Company.
Doug was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Surviving: son, Dennis Wriston of Scarbro; daughters, Tina Wriston and Vicky Wriston, both of Scarbro; sisters, Lorine Shuemake of Beards Fork, Madeline Ward of Scarbro and Loretta Johnson of Cape Coral, Fla.; and four grandchildren
In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Wriston was cremated.
