Marcella Lou McClung
Marcella Lou McClung, 78, of Oak Hill, died May 17, 2012, at Raleigh General Hospital.
Born July 11, 1933, at Indianapolis, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Herbert Baker and Hannah Pauline (Birden) Baker. Marcella also was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis L. McClung.
Surviving: daughter, Loewanna “Kay” Settle and her husband, Gene, of Beckley; son, Robert “Bob” Settle and his wife, Lori, of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Nancy J. Fogleman and her husband, Jack, of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was May 21 at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, with Pastor Tony Meadows officiating. Entombment followed in High Lawn Memorial Park.

Jerry Hugart Meadows
Jerry Hugart Meadows, 66, of Hico, died May 17, 2012, at home.
Born March 11, 1946, at Lookout, he was the son of the late Bernard Lee and Stella Lenore Ward Pyatt.
Mr. Meadows was an Airman First Class U.S. Air Force veteran.
He worked 26 years as a diesel mechanic for United Truck Parts.
Surviving: his daughter, Beverly Price of Marion, Ohio; sisters, Judy Bernabo of Port Ewen, N.Y., Linda Schultz of Aiken, S.C., Susan Harrah of Hico, Pamela Colegrove of Nicholasville, Ky., and Hope Meador of Ansted; and four grandsons.
In keeping with Jerry’s wishes he was cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Kayleigh Mae Miller
Kayleigh Mae Miller, daughter of Joshua Ian and Amanda Rose Kincaid Miller of Oak Hill, was stillborn on May 13, 2012.
A great-grandfather, Paul Walker, preceded her in death.
Surviving, in addition to her parents: a sister, Dezirae Miller; maternal grandparents, Cindy and Jeff Kincaid of Scarbro; paternal grandparents, Ian and Norma Miller of Oak Hill; and great-grandparents, Daniel and Jerri Palmer of Oak Hill, Butch and Joyce Sampson of Fayetteville and Shirley Walker of Mount Hope.
Graveside rites and committal services followed by burial were May 19 at the Pennington Cemetery in Oak Hill.
